The Skills Required

Analysis of problem, specification development, and implementation and testing of solution

Embedded processor/FPGA control and monitor loop circuitry for low power, compact, low cost design, including power sequencing and high resolution DACs.

Worked with FreeRTOS on an ARM7 LPT21xx processor to write full C code device and function drivers, and complex multi-tasking state machine to enable controlled/monitored power-up/down sequences.

Developed a host interface; a script-based host emulation tool used in design evolution, DVT and production test; and an ActiveX interface for interface to production test applications.

The Brief

This development required real-time control and monitoring of high power circuitry in reaction to a constantly varying input modulation envelope.

The Solution

Fen worked with Nujira’s engineering team to develop a low cost, high quality prototype solution that Nujira could further develop to a volume production version. This involved interacting with system architects, FPGA, DSP, software and hardware experts to create a robust effective design.
